Mortels Footwear has been hand crafted in Australia for almost 50 years, 30 of which have been in the Hunter Valley Region of NSW. Our broad range of quality footwear is crafted from genuine sheepskin.
All styles of footwear pictured are constructed with rubber soles, sheepskin uppers, and sheepskin insoles. ‘Bullets’ and ‘Alberts’ have a suede heel reinforcement and all Uggs have a stiffened suede heel reinforcement.
Our product is highly regarded by our customers. We have no desire to manufacture a cheap product. Our aim is to produce affordable quality. We pride ourselves on our quality workmanship, with our internal stitched front seams to our double stitched reinforced back seams.
Mortels Footwear is made from high quality 16mm pile sheepskin grown and tanned in Australia. Cheaper skins stretch a lot further, and it becomes impossible to keep them on your feet. Cheaper products can also tear or crack easily, leading to an inferior product.
